Quick tropical smoothie that combines the power of anti-iflammatory and immune building ingredients to give the body a boost of energy, vitality and cleansing.
*If you react to coconut, simply replace the coconut milk with another milk option that corresponds with the current Phaze you are in. This recipe is only to be consumed on Phazes 1, 5, 6, 7 or 8. Phazes 2, 3 and 4 are not recommended as it has too much fruit sugar during these Phazes.
KITCHEN ITEMS YOU'LL NEED
Blender: Nutri-bullet, VitaMix, Blendtec, Ninja
Glass or stone cutting board to cut up fruits
Jar or glass for Smoothies
YIELD: 4 adult servings
*For nutri-bullet you will need to "half" this recipe because the container will not fit all of the ingredients. This recipe was designed to fit into Vitamix, Blendtec or Ninja easily.
INGREDIENTS
2 organic bananas (peeled)
2 organic oranges (peeled)
1 pineapple (cored and cut into small squares)
1/2 inch slice of organic fresh ginger root (Ginger powder does not give you the same nutritional immune benefits that fresh ginger does).
3 cups of "filtered water" ice cubes
2 Tbsp of organic turmeric (either freshly grated or powdered. I prefer powdered in this recipe because I want to keep the smooth texture)
1 can of full fat coconut milk [NO GUAR GUM} (or unsweetened almond milk, hemp milk)
> Optional extras are 1 scoop of vital proteins collagen or prebiotic inulin.
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel and cut up all fruit into approximately 2" inch in diameter chunks small enough to fit into the blender.
Toss in all of the fruit, ice cubes, milk and turmeric.
Place the lid on your blender and turn it on med / high for about 30 seconds to a minute or until all of the ice and fruit is well blended and smooth.
Poor into 4 glasses (2 glasses if you used a nutri bullet)
Serve!!
Remember...avoid using plastic straws from here on out. They are just nasty and bad for you. I use stainless steel or they also have glass ones...I don't like the glass ones because they break too easily and I like to keep my kitchen items for a long time~
My choice for organic turmeric is "Anthony's Organic Turmeric Powder"
