Papaya Watermelon Berry Salad

A refreshing 4-fruit salad mix that has a unique flavor. This fruit salad is super easy to make and serve with any meal. This is a great salad for an afternoon snack or would be great for a nice backyard BBQ or family picnic. Let's get started!!

KITCHEN ITEMS YOU'LL NEED

  • Glass or Stone Cutting Board

  • Stainless Steel kitchen cutting knife (sharpened)

  • Large/Deep bowl for soak-rinsing your fruits

  • Baking Soda for soak-rinsing

  • Glass or porcelain serving bowl or dish

  • Stainless steel, silicone or bamboo spoon for serving

  • Water Filter

INGREDIENTS

*Check out Environmental Working Group's top "Dirty Dozen" for which fruits most likely are GMO or are sprayed with pesticides. You can also check out which fruits are on the list of the "Clean 15" by going to my article here: https://www.phazemolddiet.com/post/updated-2021-dirty-dozen-safe-15-organic-produce-list

  • *Organic "ONLY" Strawberries

  • 1 Papaya

  • 4 cups of Watermelon

  • 2 cups of organic blueberries

  • 1 organic lemon

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using your deep bowl fill it about 2/3 full of "filtered water" from your water filter. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the water and mix.

  2. Place your fruits into the water and let it soak for about 5 minutes to remove any surface fungus that might be on the fruits. (Do not soak fruits or vegetables in vinegars or any other anti-microbial substance. It may kill the bacteria and the bacteria is needed for gut health. Baking soda "does not" kill bacteria.)

  3. Using your cutting board and knife cut up all of the fruit into bite size pieces except blueberries, obviously.

  4. Place the fruit in your serving dish

  5. Squeeze the juice from the organic lemon over the fruit and blend well.

  6. Serve and Eat

STORAGE

This salad can be frozen, but remember...once fruit it frozen it tends to get mushy...so if you are going to save this for another time it will be best used in a smoothie later down the road and not for a light salad to be served. Because we do not want leftovers in the refrigerator during our detox it's best to freeze for smoothies or only make the amount you intend on eating that same day.

Did you make this salad? Tell us what you think? Remember....this salad is only to be eaten on Phazes 1, 2, 6, 7 or 8. Do not consume large amounts of high glucose sugars in Phazes 3, 4 or 5.
