Lemon Detox Smoothie

This Lemon Smoothie is smooth and refreshing with full fat coconut milk, lemons, honey, ginger and turmeric.


= Contains Histamine

KITCHEN ITEMS YOU'LL NEED

  • Blender or Nutribullet

  • Filtered water

  • Lemon Zester or cheese grater

  • Citrus press juicer

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can of full fat coconut milk or if you can't have coconut you can replace this with 1 cup unsweetened hemp milk.

  • 1 cup ice cubes (made with filtered water)

  • 4 organic lemons freshly squeezed.

  • 2 tablespoons raw unfiltered honey

  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using a citrus press squeeze the juice from the 4 lemons into your blender or nutribullet.

  2. Using the lemon zester grate the peel of approximately 2 of the lemons into the blender.

  3. Using the lemon zester or a cheese greater grate the ginger into the blender.

  4. Finally combine all remaining ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a lemon wedge. Serve immediately.
